My journey into sleep consulting began with my first son. For the first few months, he was an amazing sleeper - and then, he wasn’t. The 4-month regression hit us while visiting family in Europe, and we couldn't shake it for months. I started obsessing over his sleep, tracking every detail to the T. Haunted by long night wakings, I was drowning in self-doubt: What am I doing wrong? Why did it work yesterday but not today? Am I messing him up?

I channeled that obsession about sleep into learning everything about it. By understanding the interdependence of routines, settling techniques, temperaments, and more, I didn't just help my son sleep… I got my confidence back.

Fast forward to today, and I am now a mom of two boys. If my first son taught me the science of sleep, my second son reinforced the need for flexibility and personalization. Navigating those differences in real-time confirmed what I already knew professionally: no two children are the same. What worked for my first didn't necessarily apply to my second, and having that personal "in the trenches" perspective alongside my professional training allows me to approach every family with even deeper empathy and flexibility.
